The LA EigaFest will become the first Japanese film festival to be held in Hollywood and will take place at the world renown Chinese Theatres from November 11th-13th, 2011. We believe that the promotion of Japanese movies in the heart of the American entertainment world will help open doors to a new era of artistic cooperation between the American and Japanese film industries. -About the Japan Film Society (JFS)
JFS (Japan Film Society) was established in June 2009 and registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in January, 2011. JFS is made up of young and dedicated board members, staff, and volunteers who are devoted to the promotion of Japanese film, culture and talent in North America, and the development of a strong and beneficial relationship between the American and Japanese film industries.
